Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • ¾ cup apple jelly
  • 3 Tablespoons apple butter
  • 1 Tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 whole cloves
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves and the mixture is thick and syrupy and reduced to about 1-1/2 cups.
  3. Remove whole cloves before using the glaze.
Tips:
  1. This glaze would be great on any smoked pork item or any cooked fresh pork item.
  2. You can find fresh ginger in the produce department in most grocery stores. Peel the skin off the outside before grating.
