Brent Weatherwax, owner of Pappa Bear’s Catering is a true, one-of-a-kind cook. Brent started working for the Dewig family back in 2017 as a butcher. He had previously worked for the well known and very successful, Mike Mills, at 17th Street BBQ in Marion, IL. The Dewig family knew Brent had experience with barbeque and a real talent for cooking, so they asked him to start up a catering department here at Dewig Meats. Brent knew he wanted to start his own business, not just run a department. The Dewig family supported him and a great partnership was born! Pappa Bear’s Catering started out small, gaining customers through Dewig Meats. They have really created a name for themselves over the years and are proud to have catered events of more than 3,000 people!
