Ingredients

    For the hamburger patties:
    • 2 pounds Dewig Meats regular ground beef
    • ½ cup seasoned bread crumbs
    • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
    • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 Tablespoon ketchup
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
    • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
    For the gravy:
    • 2 cups Coloma Frozen Foods Diced Onions
    • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
    • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 Tablespoon ketchup
    • 1 teaspoon Kitchen Bouqet
    • 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 1¼ cups beef broth
    • 2 Tablespoons beef broth paste
    • Salt & Pepper to taste
    Instructions
    1. Combine all the ingredients for the hamburger patties and mix thoroughly until combined.
    2. Divide into 8 hamburger patties.
    3. Add vegetable oil to a skillet and cook over medium heat until both sides are well browned.
    4. Remove the meat from the pan and reserve 2 Tablespoons oil in pan.
    5. Add the onions and cook until soft, stirring occasionally.
    6. Add the minced garlic, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
    7. Add in 2 Tablespoons flour and whisk constantly for 1 minute until blended.
    8. Add in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Kitchen Bouquet, salt and pepper and stir together.
    9. Add hamburger steaks back into the pan.
    10. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding beef broth as needed if gravy gets too thick.
