Ingredients

  • 2 cups Coloma Frozen Foods Diced Onions
  • 5 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 3 pounds beef sirloin, sliced ¼" thick, cut into 2 inch strips
  • 4 Tablespoons bourbon whiskey
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 - 12 ounce bottle of beer (we recommend Guinness Stout)
  • 6 Tablespoons beef base
  • 4 cups Coloma Frozen Foods Fajita Vegetable Mix
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Hoagie buns
  • provolone cheese, sliced thin
  • slow cooker liner
Instructions
  1. Place liner in slow cooker.
  2. Place onions and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Layer beef strips on top of onions and garlic.
  4. Sprinkle cumin, black pepper, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, marjoram, and basil over and between meat layers.
  5. Combine whiskey, soy sauce, mustard, Tabasco, water, beer, Worcestershire sauce, and beef base in a small bowl. Pour mixture over meat.
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  7. Place fajita vegetables into non-stick skillet and saute with butter, salt, and pepper to taste until tender.
  8. Place meat onto hoagie bun, top with fajita vegetables and provolone cheese.
  9. Serve immediately.
